One of the acts I was really interested in seeing at Godiva was Kirsty Almeida and her band. Very interesting looking performer is Kirsty and her artwork is well cool
One thing I love about finding music on the web is happy accidents. While watching an Imogen Heap video, I spots an acoustic Immi cover version by this wonderful young girl, Kina Grannis.
This time a change of scene, a blast from my very distant past and a tip of the hat to Wimbeldon, which starts today!
In danger of letting my Music Monday slip, but have no fear Brummie band Rogue States are here to give me a reason to blog today. I’ve mentioned these guys before but they are so good, it bears repeating.

Quite an interesting series of blog posts and tweets have popped up in my circle of contacts, pondering the notion that media was social long before social networking, behold, the mixtape!
We’re not yet finished with the destruction of digital radio in this country! The BBC are twisting the knife in DAB’s heartland; niche station choice, why go digital when there’s no station choice?

While listening to my recommends on last.fm this amazingly powerful voice started playing, tipped as the hottest sound of 2010!
If ever there were a local band who are worthy of your listening time it’s Rogue States, a very likable band based and giging in and around Birmingham and London. Find out more.
Just one song from 2000 – 2009? It’s so hard! Find out what I chose as my song of the decade.
Acoustic music is one of my passions, I love listenable, intelligent and quite frankly awesome acoustic artists. So I wanted to blog and stand up for this type of music, some exciting videos in here!
I was sat in Starbucks the other day and rather than playing the same old tired Christmas songs, they had quite a ska revival going on! Find out which tune I’m linking to here.
