Chocolate Fountain
Friday, October 14th, 2005Behold the flowing creamy goodness of the chocolate fountain. This photo it was taken at a Wing Wah Chinese resturant in Oldbury back in September for Jono Bacon’s Birthday party.
A collection of photos that I have taken that I wish to share with your fine self. I recently purchased my first digital camera, I loved photography when I studied it, composing the shots just right, getting the best angles and focusing on tiny details. While browsing these shots take time to reflect upon the small things in your own life, the things that make life nice.

Last night myself and the family paid a visit to the local legend that is Walsall Illuminations. Staged in the main greenland area in Walsall town centre, the venue is a flooded quary, known locally as the Arboretum. I remember the event from an early age and it could have helped spark my huge interest in light. This time it was nephew’s turn to be introduced to the wonder.
There are more photos, descriptions and short histories of the event to be found by wither clicking the title of this post or by reading the full entry
Texas came to town after a four year break from touring. Last time it was the NEC this time a downscaled Academy right in the city centre. It was a quality night, support act didn’t seem to go down well in the crowd though. Driving back home with the hits on the MP3 player it was a really enjoyable night with pleanty to talk about.
Sharleen Spiteri, lead member of the band, spent a lot of time interacting with the crowd which was really nice, as heard in this sound byte.

Ok have you got that Challenge Aneka theme tune ready, watch out for the hedgehog as we take a walk through the Bullring like you will have never see it, that is as it was being built around about 3 years ago. At times it looked as if it would never be finished on time. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak of the inside of the Bullring while the redevelopment was occuring, these photos were taken a year before the Bullring opened. The concrete went, the area was totally changed and it now stands as a glass homage to the god of shopping, with more than a million square foot of retailing heaven … Welcome to Birmingham.

I’m just about old enough to remember the Birmgham of past decades and even though much of the city is now tottaly different, I can recall childhood memories of what the huge area around the Bullring used to be like and now how it has on the surface changed for the better. One of the pub bombing sites near the Bullring has been replaced with a tourist centre, often there will be flowers left outside of the fashion store “Zara” in memory of those who were lost in 1974.
These photos were taken a short while ago, just after a storm had started to clear away, on the brink of sunset within 10 minutes the sky was almost pitch black as lightning returned roughly 10 miles away.
The view from the front and back of our house as the sky changed colour by the second at the end of one of the hotest days of the year for us. And with it perhaps just about signalling the start of the Autumn, the summer just flew by and wow August was certainly a month for weather.
Here are a few of the many photos that I took while on Summer Holiday in Towyn/Rhyl and Colwyn bay

It’s not every morning that you wake up to see a rainbow on your celing, unless of course you left the lights on and the water tank had sprung a leak. At first I thought I had been painting in my sleep, but that was thankfully not the case. Find out more by reading further into this perhaps not so mysterous event!
