Testing from Flock
Hehe, I’m just playing with Flock, a new web browser that pulls together various Firefox extensions that allow you to do things like interact with your blog and your flickr photo account, read RSS feeds and so forth.
Flock is based around the idea of the web as a social medium and Flock has a lot of tools out of the box that allow you write to the web as well as read from it.
*kickstart the hovis music*
When Tim Berners Lee was a young lad he had a vision of a medium that allowed you to read from and write to a medium of interconnected devices. The notion of a web browser has pretty much been an application of reading and eating content, the browser itself has never really had tools in there to allow you to publish to the web as easily as you would write an email or letter.
Flock may flop, (I hope it doesn’t) but with a 17m strong blogosphere waiting Flock could make quite an impact a redefine how we see and use the web browser, much less as a passive tool, but something that we can use to publish, now that’s a revolution. If you want in, seriously ditch IE for a kick off and join us in Web 2.0.

I haven’t tried Flock yet, but the installation file is sitting on my desktop. I’m just afraid of my computer exploding, because it’s already loaded with…crap.
But it sounds interesting…I mean, I love Firefox for all the extentions. THEY SAVED MY LIFE! Hopefully I’ll try Flock soon.
