ALF Threat to Leapfrog Day Nurseries

Not nice at all, and although I don’t wish to draw big international attention to this (others already have), give it some thought next time you pass a street demonstration for Animal Rights.

BBC News (typical bias to the south east of the country btw)
“Not only you but your family is a target” … Sick, twisted and never justifiable, happening in our country, totaly disgusting and in my view proper use of anti-terror laws are used in such cases, unlike at the Labour Party Confrence this week, where a heckler was arrested under such laws.

“A children’s nursery has become the latest target of animal rights threats, forcing it to stop providing child care vouchers to parents working for the animal testing group Huntingdon Life Sciences.” Source

The threat of “suffer[ing] the consequences” was against Leapfrog Day Nurseries, I gather not against children but it rather reminded me of something that would come out of iRaq and it’ll only take one nutter to go out on a whim and actually be a threat to the children and staff of those Nurseries.

While “its Peterborough nursery, which is nearest to the Life Sciences headquarters” has indeed had its security reviewed, the actual HQ of Leapfrog is in the Midlands and is quite close, infact very extreamly close to where a string of nasty connected events has been going on recently that has been splashed in the local press.

What a nasty horrible situation, like a Christian group threatening a cancer charity to withdraw sponsorship for Jerry Springer the opera.

Is all of this pointing to a failure of democracy and an over radicalisation of a political and moral issue … whatever your thoughts, targeting a childrens nursery for a voucher scheme that benefits workers of an animal testing farm, is a sick way to achive an end achivement, there’s no otherway of putting it. There’s the peaceful and the not so peaceful.
