In all seriousness I hope this law gets passed, although I’m in two minds because chronic and ridiculous over exposure to the sun will not kill you (contray to popular belief), which is why I hate saftey advice to sun bathers, wrong target audience totally (for Melanoma anyway). Yeah Basel Cell is still skin cancer, that is attributed to chronic overexposure but it’s a whole lot better than Melanoma skin cancer, which is the worst type of skin cancer you can get and is not atributted to always being in the sun.
Intermitent exposure should be considered more important in helping reduce death by sun. How did I ever find myself in this boat eh?

It’s a start. We need firstly a law on providing shade for at risk children at lunchtime at schools, that is one law that could seriously help curb Melanoma as increasingly it’s a young persons disease. Regardless of how much this might meddle with peoples lives, this is a serious health and satfey concern for kids and adults alike.
Next a law that introduced screening for at risk people as being monitored over 10 15 20 and 25 years of a persons life … will save lives from skin cancer, no two ways about it, if you have an expert watching your moles every 5 years a problem will be spotted before it’s too late, like when you are aged 23. A public health campaign that bins sunscreen and talks about how to spot changes in moles (your own or someone elses) that take decades to show, is gonna be more help that saying “bad sun cover up” and that should be aimed at adults not children, we know about the sun, covering up in many cases may help, but still UV light gets through (I burn through jeans), we can’t stop exposure to the sun, what we can do is spot the problems early.
We are still too blind to the after effects of the sun, untill that changes people will die, come on Europe, top the Software Patent rejection, do this for us!
