Drops of Jupiter

Last night I saw Jupiter through my back yard telescope, something I never thought I’d see for myself, with my own eyes :) To the naked eye it looks like a star but through the scope, although small I could see the cloud bands in the northern and southern hemispheres. Jupiter is so far away yet so massive that it appears viewable to even the most basic of telescopes if in focus and it is currently sitting in the sky near to the moon. Very cool stuff, it was moving at some pace as well, had to keep moving the scope. I made sure my dad had a look.
