@media 2005

How I wish I was going to this event, having only just caught a whiff of news about it. The @media 2005 conference looks like being the first held in London dealing with web standards, accessibility including of course technologies very close to my heart, CSS and XHTML. Hopefully with the release of IE7 and if there is a confrence next year, the 2006 programme would be something I certainly would give everything to go to. At £300 it’s not cheap, but it’s far cheaper than a one day course in Flash, but it still remains that I’m going to see Turin Brakes on the 9th, all that traveling between cities imagine that … *shudder*

Take note all developers ….. the web is a different place now, (get rid of IE and then) get with the style!

@media 2005: Web Standards & Accessibility. London, 9th - 10th June.

“Patrick Griffiths, managing director of web interface consultancy Vivabit, which sponsors the event, said that the conference would prove valuable for those wanting to make the most out of their web sites: ‘It’s a unique opportunity to learn about the most cutting-edge, best-practice methodologies from the best in the business. Delegates will come away from the conference with an in-depth understanding of the issues and the power to make lighter, faster, easier to manage, cheaper to build and maintain web pages that are accessible to all.’”www.atmedia2005.co.uk

    I’d like to go to that conference, but that is REALLY expensive. Holy crap. Good speakers though. I wonder why they don’t have stuff like that around here …
