Cool before the heatwave?

Temperatures worldwide have been doing some strange things recently. England has seen below average temperatures for the past few weeks, feeling much more like the start of spring than the start of summer. But London wasn’t alone this Friday when a temperature blip caused the mercury to sore far higher than the average for May. For one day the air accross much of England was unreasonably close and humid, it was worse in the south east of the country where a few May records were broken.

Big Ben Silent For 90 Minutes

“Officials are still unclear why the clock [BIG BEN] stopped ticking, but speculate the halt could be weather related. A recent heat wave has swept England, causing temperatures in London to reach 90 degrees Saturday”.All Headline News.com : article

And in true British tradition that is becoming a national joke : “Today’s hot weather also caused mainline rail chiefs to impose speed limits in case rails buckled in the heat, And Network Rail ordered a 60mph limit on all services. This was because of ‘potential problems’ with the overhead power cables caused by the heat.” Not so much of a joke : “Thousands of passengers were trapped in soaring temperatures today when three packed Tube trains got stuck in a tunnel”. Thousands in Tube hell

First-Ever Seattle Heat Warning Issued

“Friday’s high of 89 degrees at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport broke a 33-year-old record for the date. Thursday’s high — also 89 degrees — broke a 58-year-old record … Seattle is among the cities added this year to the weather service’s excessive heat program.”SFgate.com : article

Both Seattle and London had seen below average temperatures before these mini heatwaves. These cities are too far apart to conclude local and syncronous climate change (I’m not a meterologist) all of which which leads me to conclude that along with the other freak weather occurances of late, that the instablity of sunspot regions on the sun and related CME’s (flares), of which there has been above average activities on the sun, are causing untold effects on our planet. I’d like to point out that extra terrestrial bodies such as the sun also causes freak weather, because after all the sun is the fuel of our weather, when it plays up, so does our climate!
